Lisa Rubino, registered nurse, in a bright consulting room

Registered nurse · 30+ years

Women's health and wellness, guided by a nurse.

Whatever stage of life you're in, I help you understand what is going on in your body, make a plan you can keep, and ask better questions at your next visit with your doctor or nurse practitioner. I'm Lisa Rubino, a registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience.

  • Nursing since 1993Licensed in New York, then North Carolina.
  • Active NC licenseNo discipline on record. Check it yourself.
  • BS, Molloy CollegeCum laude, 2004.
  • Nurse coach trainedThe Nurse Coach Collective, 2026.

Who this is for

Women who want straight answers and a plan they can live with.

  • You are in your 40s, 50s or 60s and your body is changing in ways nobody explained.
  • You have been told "that's normal for your age" and sent home.
  • You have tried the diets and the apps, and they did not stick.
  • You want someone with real clinical experience who will explain things in plain words.
  • You want to walk into your next appointment prepared, not nervous.

If that is you, the free call is the place to start. If coaching is not the right fit, I will say so and point you to who can help.

Health advice is loud, and it contradicts itself.

Tired all the time. Sleeping badly. Mood and body changes no one explained. You may have been told it is normal, told to wait, or handed three different answers from three different places.

What usually helps is not more information. It is someone who knows how the healthcare system works, can explain what you are hearing in plain words, and stays with you while you act on it.

That is what I do. I do not diagnose or prescribe. I help you ask better questions, understand your options, and follow through.

How it works

Three steps, in this order.

  1. Assessment

A free call. You tell me what is going on and what you want to change. I tell you honestly whether coaching fits or whether you should see a clinician first.

  2. Plan

A short list of goals you can act on this week, plus the questions to bring to your doctor or nurse practitioner.

  3. Follow-up

Regular check-ins to keep you moving, adjust what is not working, and tell you when something needs medical attention.

What you leave with

  • A short written plan in plain language
  • A list of questions for your doctor, in your words
  • A way to track what is changing, so decisions are based on your own record
  • Someone to check in with who knows how the healthcare system works

Pick the support that fits you.

She took her time with me and made me feel like what I said mattered. Easy to work with, professional, clear communication, and attentive to your concerns.

Camille

She helped me see how my smaller goals can help lead to my bigger goals. She was always encouraging, even when I didn't complete my weekly goals: there is no failure, only progress.

Thirty years of watching what actually helps.

I began as a hospital nurse on Long Island, spent most of my career in home health, and later led clinical teams in Charlotte, including a branch of about 40 clinicians. Home health teaches you how people really live, and that is the part most health advice leaves out.
